Sardam Students Participate in Reuse, Reduce, Recycle Exhibition

Students in grades 6-9 at Sardam International School, a SABIS® PPP school, took part in an event called Reuse, Reduce, Recycle Exhibition on October 17, 2015.

The students’ projects were made from used materials that were shown in the exhibition. During the event, they got to explain their projects in more detail to the judging committee, as well as view other students’ work.

First, second, and third place winners were chosen by the judges, with all three of them receiving a prize. After the exhibition, the students played with a piñata that was made by one of the teachers.

Besides the exhibition, another event took place that day involving bread. Students placed uneaten bread into a recycling container and by the day’s end, a person picked it up from outside the school. That person will then use these food scraps as animal feed.

By participating in this activity, students were reminded of how important it is to help improve and protect the environment by reusing, reducing, and recycling items.
