Sardam Students Participate in Basketball Competition
On November 5, 2016, students in grades 8, 9, and 10 at Sardam International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, participated in a basketball competition at the school.
The P.E. teacher and school administration organized the basketball competition for the students, who were divided into five teams of ten players. The competition took four hours and the winning team was Grade 9A. For their great effort the winning team and runners up were awarded trophies the next day.
The purpose of this competition was to have an exciting activity that would encourage students to participate in sports. It also proved to be a good way to teach the students team work and good sportsmanship. “We are so glad to be given the opportunity to participate in such a fun competition,” said a student.
