Sardam Students Design Their Own Flags

Sardam Students Design Their Own Flags

Students in grades 1 to 11 in Sardam International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, participated in a flag decorating activity on October 7, 2017.

Students were asked to use the colors and elements of the Kurdish flag to create their own flags, which were then displayed for all to see. Students then presented their designs to the judges, who were school art teachers, to win first, second, or third place trophies.

The purpose of the activity was to give students an opportunity to use their creativity to create a project that reflected and taught them more about their culture. Student feedback was very positive after the event. “It was a special day and we were proud to show our projects to our friends and teachers,” said a student.
