Sardam International School Holds Girls Soccer Competition

Sardam International School, a SABIS® PPP school, held a girls soccer competition for students in grades 7-9 on October 10, 2015. Responsible for organizing this event was the SABIS Student Life Organization®’s (SLO®) Sports Department. With the help of the school’s P.E. teachers and the Sports Department’s prefects, the soccer game was set up.

Students were first taken to a soccer field, where they were split into five teams, with each team consisting of eight players. After four hours of playing, 9B ended up winning the game 3-0.

The day after the competition, the P.E teachers along with the administrative staff gave trophies to the winning team and second level team. The best player and the best scorer were given a small trophy as well. In addition, the two Sports Department prefects were given gifts as a token of appreciation for being referees at the event.

This sports competition was held to encourage teamwork and good sportsmanship during sports games. The students were really happy to have participated in the event and hope that more activities like this one will be held in the future.
