New Students at Sardam Receive Academic Support

New students in grades 5-9 at Sardam International School, a SABIS^® PPP school, received academic support from October 11-22, 2015. Responsible for organizing this event were the SABIS Student Life Organization^®’s (SLO^®) Outreach Department and Academic Department prefects.

Both SLO^® departments had a meeting with the new students to welcome them, explain the school’s system of learning, and answered the students’ questions. The prefects were then assigned a schedule for a two-week period. Their main objectives included supporting the new students academically and being peer tutors to the new students.

Having this activity helped the new students settle into their school and develop new friendships. It was an excellent opportunity for them to not only get ahead academically, but also build strong bonds between classmates. The prefects were also proud of their efforts in helping out the new students and improving the school’s academics.
